Rockford Woodlawn Fund 2024 Grant Guidelines and Things to Know

Rockford Woodlawn provides financial support for activities that meet our Mission:

  • Promotes the preservation of open space; enhances parks.
  • Acquires land to be utilized or preserved.
  • Invests in affordable housing, and supporting agencies in the city of Wilmington and surrounding area.

 

The Rockford Woodlawn Fund Board meets in June and September.




Eligibility

Organizations that choose to submit an application must have a 501c3 designation.

Organizations awaiting IRS approval are not eligible for grants.

Applications can be submitted on a rolling basis. For consideration at the June Board meeting, applications must be submitted by March 31, at 11:59 pm. To be considered for the September Board meeting, applications must be submitted by June 30 by 11:59 pm.

Applicants may apply for funds on an annual basis, regardless of their previous approval/denial.

Criteria and Evaluation

In the application, the applicant organization must present a clear and financially sound plan that demonstrates how they intend to achieve the goal stated in the proposal.

The Fund does not entertain multiple year requests.

The Rockford Woodlawn Grants Committee will accept calls and/or meetings to discuss your application and we encourage you to meet with us.

Award and Reporting

Successful applicants will be notified and a Grant Agreement will be sent to your organization and funds released shortly after the agreement’s completion.

Successful grant recipients must submit their final grant report to be considered for future funding.
